How to connect to the VPN and set up remote desktop access on home device

Windows/PC VPN and Remote Desktop Set Up 

Download and connect to the VPN

1. Go to vpn.moreheadstate.edu and click on "Download Windows 64 bit GlobalProtect agent"

2. Click "Next"

3. Click "Next"

4. Click "Next"

5. Click "Close" and type "vpn.moreheadstate.edu" in the portal address box

6. Sign in with your MSU login and password (m*******@moreheadstate.edu format)

Running the VPN (after initial setup)

1. Click on the Windows Button in the lower left hand side or click on the Global Protect icon in the lower right icon menu

2. Open "Palo Alto Networks" and click "Global Protect"

3. Click "Connect"

You have now connected to the VPN.

Connecting to the Remote Desktop

1. Click on the Windows button in the lower left hand side

2. Click "Remote Desktop Connection"

3. Enter your computer name

4. Enter your MSU ID and Password for the credentials 

• mXXXXXXX and the password will be the same as the one used to log into mymoreheadstate
